PATSIL is a comprehensive trade related capacity building program that provides technical assistance to Liberia’s Ports Authority, its Ministry of Trade and Customs Authority.
PATSIL will enhance the capacity of trade institutions in Liberia to create an environment for competitive trade, production and value addition. Among other significant results, it will strengthen the skills of 120 small and medium-sized enterprises (two thirds run by women and young people) in book-keeping, business plans and accessing finance to grow their ideas. The project is expected to increase the number of businesses registered by 20% by 2016 and significantly reduce the time required to obtain export and import licenses.
